PARIS, France, July 30. Today, seven
Azerbaijani athletes, as well as the basketball team, will compete
at the Paris 2024 XXXIII Summer Olympic Games, Trend reports.
First, triathlete Rostislav Pevtsov will compete in the men’s
individual event.
Next, Diana Dymchenko, representing Azerbaijan in rowing, will
compete in the quarterfinals.
Then, judoka Zelim Chekayev (weight category 81 kg) will enter
the competition.
In addition, athlete Ramil Velizade will take part in the
swimming tournament – in the 200-meter butterfly.
Later, boxers Nijat Huseynov (51 kg) and Murad Allahverdiyev (80
kg) will enter the ring.
Today, Yaylagul Ramazanova will represent Azerbaijan in the
women’s archery event, and at the end of the day, the national team
will compete in the 3×3 basketball tournament. Their opponents in
the first round will be representatives of Spain.
