TOKYO — Nikkei and the Financial Times Group said on Tuesday that Jon Slade, the FT’s chief commercial officer, will succeed John Ridding as CEO in July.
Slade became CCO in 2014, leading sales and advertising of the U.K.-based media group, and also oversaw the transformation of the business structure from newspapers to digital media and the group’s global expansion. He also initiated partnerships with U.S. tech companies and prominent artificial intelligence developers, including Google.
