TOKYO — Japanese clothing brand Beams announced Wednesday that it will launch an e-commerce site for North American consumers, as it makes its first steps into the market with an eye on one day opening a permanent brick-and-mortar store in the U.S.
The site, which will sell original products as well as those from other companies, will be operated by local subsidiary Beams America, established in California in September. The subsidiary was launched in collaboration with Pacific Fashion Works, which has supported the company’s product purchasing in the U.S.
