NEW YORK — With Commerce secretary nominee Howard Lutnick expected to receive Senate confirmation next week, President Donald Trump is quickly building a team that will decide how and when the U.S. should wield export curbs against China.
Lutnick, an advocate of export controls and tariffs, and his deputies at the Commerce Department are likely to step up pressure on Beijing in round two of Trump’s trade war.
