HONG KONG — Property developer China Vanke’s shares fell sharply in Hong Kong and Shenzhen on Friday, as speculation swirled over the status of its President and CEO Zhu Jiusheng.
The Hong Kong-listed shares opened at 4.45 Hong Kong dollars, or 8.4% lower than Thursday’s close. The Shenzhen shares opened 4.4% lower before sinking further, more than 6%, to 6.45 yuan in the morning trading.
