Japan-US tariff deal ‘unlikely’ before G7 summit: Tokyo negotiator

TOKYO — Lead Japanese tariff negotiator Ryosei Akazawa expressed doubt on Sunday that Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba and U.S. President Donald Trump would hold talks before the Group of Seven summit in Canada set for June 15 to 17.
