TAIPEI — Asustek Computer aims to export its AI supercomputing and large language model technologies to emerging markets to capture government demand for “AI sovereignty,” company executives told Nikkei Asia.

The Taiwanese PC maker, the fifth largest in the world with annual shipments of around 18 million, according to IDC, helped build the government-backed Taiwania 2 and Taiwania 4 supercomputers in 2018 and 2023, respectively, and is now looking to pivot even more toward artificial intelligence.
