TOKYO — Mitsui O.S.K. Lines will buy all shares of LBC Tank Terminals, a Dutch operator of chemical tank facilities, for $1.72 billion, the Japanese shipper said on Monday, its largest acquisition to date.
The two companies signed a contract on Friday. LBC mainly operates storage tanks for chemicals, crude oil, petrochemicals and other products in Europe and on the U.S. coasts. It also provides loading and unloading services for shipping.
