Dengue vaccine from Takeda to sell in Japan as Southeast Asia travel rises


TOKYO — Takeda Pharmaceutical aims to sell a vaccine for dengue in Japan as more business travelers go to Southeast Asian and Latin American destinations where the mosquito-borne viral disease is prevalent.

It is the first vaccine sold internationally by a Japanese drug company and is already available in Southeast Asia, Latin America, Europe and elsewhere.
