TOKYO — The disapproval rating for Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba’s cabinet surpassed the 50% mark in the latest Nikkei-TV Tokyo poll, rising 5 percentage points from the previous survey to 51%.
Asked why they do not approve, 32% — the highest percentage — cited the central role played by the Liberal Democratic Party in the cabinet that launched in October, followed by 30% who brought up a “lack of international awareness.”
