Crypto Investigator Exposes Pro Gamer In $3.5 Million Memecoin Scam, Other Hacks

A crypto investigator uncovered that a former professional player on Fortnite could be associated with a major meme coin scam and hacking of celebrity accounts.

Crypto sleuth ZachXBT discovered that the high-profile case of the $3.5 million scam of the token is linked to popular professional gamer Serpent.

Connection To Serpent’s Crypto Wallets

ZachXBT examined the hacking incidents of nine celebrity accounts involved in meme coins. The crypto investigator found a relationship between all these hacking incidents, saying that all roads lead to Serpent.

He concluded that the professional Fortnite gamer might be the brains behind these incidents, adding that the online gamer could be involved in the heist of meme coins worth $3.5 million.

Wallet Tied To Serpent

ZachXBT’s investigation revealed an electronic trail that further accused the ex-Fortnite player of the crypto token scam, saying that all wallet addresses are linked to Serpent.

The online investigator mentioned that the gamer had “high exposure” to a number of Pump.fun meme coin scams that involved hacked social media accounts.

“Over the past few months, I have been tracking a series of related compromises for McDonald’s, Usher, Kabosu Owner, Andy Ayrey, Wiz Khalifa, SPX 6900, etc on X & IG which has resulted in an estimated $3.5M+ stolen via launching Pump Fun meme coins,” ZachXBT said.

McDonald’s Account Compromised

ZachXBT revealed among those accounts compromised in the meme coin scams is McDonald’s Instagram.

According to the detailed report, the IG account was hacked, and the scammer used it to promote the GRIMACE token. The hacker generated over $690,000 with the pump and dump strategy.

The crypto investigator narrated that the hacker transferred the funds to two primary crypto wallets and several days later, the culprit moved 101.5 SOL to two addresses before deploying the SCHRADER token.

ZachXBT found that the meme coin was promoted in Actor Dean Norris X’s account which was also hacked at that time.

Deleted Posts

The crypto investigator revealed that the pro-Fortnite player used the scammed funds on online casinos, saying that recordings of Serpent showed a connection with some addresses linked to the hacked account.

ZachXBT said after publishing the first part of the investigation, Serpent suspiciously started deleting all his posts from his new X account.

Furthermore, Ginx.tv said Serpent was kicked out from the e-sports organization “Overtime” in June 2020 because the gamer was accused of cheating.

Analysts said that the meme coins scamming incident is not an isolated case as the crypto market experienced numerous wallet hacks and scams this year with celebrity accounts hacked and the promotion of crypto-related scams being the most common.
