Azerbaijani film “Banu” screened at European Film Festival in Canada’s Calgary (PHOTO)

BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 20. The Azerbaijani
film Banu was showcased at the European Film Festival in Calgary,
with support from the State Committee on Work with Diaspora and
Parvin Abdullayeva, a member of the Alberta Azerbaijani Cultural
Society in the Canadian city, Trend reports via the state committee.

The screening of Banu coincided with Azerbaijan’s Victory Day
and National Flag Day.

Directed by Tahmina Rafaella, Banu features a cast of
distinguished actors, including Melek Abbaszade, Zaur Shafiyev,
Kabira Hashimli, Jafar Hasan, and others. The film’s storyline
unfolds against the backdrop of the 44-day Patriotic War.




At the screening, Parvin Abdullayeva expressed her heartfelt
gratitude to the festival organizers, the Consular Corps of
Calgary, and the State Committee on Work with Diaspora for their
support.
