TOKYO/HONG KONG/SINGAPORE — Asian currencies weakened and stocks were mixed on Wednesday as markets priced in a victory for former President Donald Trump in the U.S. presidential election.
As of 7:35 p.m. JST, the former president has won 277 electoral votes while Vice President Kamala Harris has clinched 224 votes, according to AP news. At least 270 electoral votes are needed to win the presidency.
